    Hi All

I'm trying to figure out how to cut the single sided 308/328 keys by code and wondering if anyone has seen a key code tag like the one that comes with a 355/360/456/550/575.

If someone could clue me in on what the key codes look like for these older models it would really help me out with a project I'm working on.

    Thanks in advance.

Doesn’t every key have a specific code for that car? Also, you may not want to post photos of your keys online. Replacement key companies are using photos to make replacement keys for people and others may want to make a key for your car. Just an fyi.

As long as you don't post a photo of the whole key and in profile I think you're fine.

There is a series of codes for a particular model of car, but the code is not specific to any one car. For example the 360 generation has a range of about 1,500 possible codes.

Someone that really knows what they're doing, with the right knowledge and code subscription, could make a key from the picture above.

I agree it wouldn't hurt to delete the photos, although I don't think many thieves troll Fchat.

I asked the bosses to erase the photos, but a thief would have to get through my shift lock and steering lock as well. Good luck with that! Mike

The key number (code?) is both hand written in the service manual and on the key itself. Not sure that this enables you to cut a key based upon that number.
