While scanning through the internet for histories of 308 gtb's I saw a photo of this 308. Does anyone know what the story is on this one? It looks very different from stock. Was it a factory or personal job?

Is that a seam at the top of the A-pillar? (fiberglass coachwork?)

Not a big fan of the wheels, but not having an enormous bumper protruding out the front sure sweetens up the front coachwork IMO.

That car was for sale on EBay about 5 months ago. Very nice looking car, a lot of money spent on it. I think he had new Konis, upgraded brakes, bigger wheels, hot cams, and MSDs. The grille was a custom job where he had the bumper removed and made a full mouth grille to fill the gap with a cavallino in the center (like a Boxer almost), and those side markers are early Daytona. At the time he wanted what I thought was a lot of money for a hot-rodded car. As for the color... well it's different.

I do like the front end treatment - very up to date, possibly too much so?

I think I saw a George Barris 308 on the Barrett Jackson coverage a few years ago that looked similar on the outside but the interior was hideous. This might be it.

It's a Euro dry-sump that Tillack in Redondo Beach had for sale in 2002. It made an appearance at the Ortega run that year and suffered some sort of breakdown.

IIRC, it was for sale in the $45k range back then. Paint was original then

Thanks for the info. I wondered what the history was on it.

    It's also a fiberglass car.
