I've met the guy. His name's Bill. Nice guy, mechanically knowledgable. Looked at the car, but just a cursory look. It wasn't for sale at the time, so I didn't give it a close look. It does look straight, though, and it's a no-snow area. PM me if you need his phone #

Why is there no air inlet for the A/C condenser in the front splash panel?

And don't forget to razz him about the front wheels being on the wrong sides.

I don't think the picture is backwards, you can't clearly see the steering wheel but it looks like the driver's wiper arm is on the left. It really doesn't matter about the wheels, except for the "razzing" factor.

I'd be more concerned about the lack of an air intake for the A/C condenser. He admits that the A/C doesn't work. It's POSSIBLE that the accident damage he reported on the right front fender damaged the condenser, and instead of fixing it properly, they just eliminated it and closed off the air inlet. Something isn't right there! He needs to explain.

Agreed... wheels wrong, wiper wrong, bumper wrong. Move on.

It looks to me like the wiper is correct - I'm saying that the picture isn't backwards because the driver's wiper appears to be on the left side of the car (right side of the picture).

The bumper/splash panel obviously isn't right. There has to be a reason why the air inlet has been blocked off, and the seller should disclose that reason and give some assurance that the condenser isn't damaged. That A/C system could need a whole lot more than recharging.

I, too, saw this car on ebay... but several months ago. In fact, it has been on the Ebay Auction scene at least 3-4 times since the Summer. What is also not too cool, is that he has "buddies" that seem to bid the car up... Each auction appears to have the car sold, but behold a few weeks later the car is back on Ebay and by the same owner...

    Cheers,

    Sam

There is a nice, big, removable panel below and in front of the A/C condenser, on the underside of the car. I'm sure it would be easy to get some air to the condenser by removing or modifying that panel. If I were personally interested in buying that car, I would take a really good look at that area to see how much damage was done and how well it was repaired. Fair enough? If I didn't care about the A/C (track car?), I wouldn't worry about it.

He wants to remove the radio? Radios are cheap. Let him remove it, as long as the dash/console hasn't been modified, and the wiring is intact.

This car has been advertised for a year on other website locations. I called the dude earlier this year and found him to be evasive in answering my questions. May be a nice car, but I got a bad vibe on this one and passed.
