Does anyone know this 360?

Hi guys, just curious if anyone knows this 360 Spider? What caused the 'salvage' title? Also, does anyone have access to the Carfax history? I know there is another source other than Carfax, but I don't know what it's called.

Provided the car passes an extensive PPI, what's a fair offer on a this? $70K maybe?

And for furthermore speculation, what would you guess the value of this car to be say 5 to 7 years down the road with 55k to 65k miles? I have a 99 Euro Modena with 48k now, but very much want a Spider. I've always liked open air cars more than coupes. I put on 3 to 5 thousand miles per year on my cars, so, whether I stay in my Modena, or find a Spider, either way I will have a high mileage car in the end. So if the cost of admission for a salvage spider saves me $20k on the buy in, and I sell in 5 to 7 years (if I sell) at $20k under the average. Isn't it a wash? Again, barring it passes a thorough inspection.

Maybe I'm just nuts, who knows?

 

thats funny I live right by them and have seen that car many times .. They guys are very nice Just ask them for the story I knowthey put a lot of money into it go check itout

 

Unless they are dropping the price dramatically, I think $80k for a 37.5k mile Spider is way too much given the salvage history. You can pick up a clean title under 10k Spider for 100k....

 

I would love to, but I'm from Minnesota. Do you recall what happened to it?

What does it take for a car like this to get a salvage title? Does it mean the frame was damaged in the accident, or can it be something as simple as smashed bumpers?

Damaged to the point where the insurance company deems it not worth repairing.

I.e., bad news. A parking lot bumper incident won't do it.

I have seen minor physical damage and the car was salvaged and I could explain why. Ferrari may be one of those unique cars. No frame damage, right price, its worth buying.

He is correct...there are alot of variables that come into play when a car is branded "salvage". Each car is unique in the sense that it needs to be investigated to see what actually occurred with the damage...but one thing that isn't unique is the poor resale value and most people will walk away from it!

You have two types of Ferrari owners...those who have a passion and desire for the car, and can afford it...hense they will not consider a salvage. And those who are looking to step up from that BMW or Audi into a Ferrari "if the price is right"...so you need to tap that market when selling a salvage title car, and you're results are selling it at BMW pricing!
