1385369 is not a valid s/n for this car; more likely is that the s/n is 13853 (a later QM - 702 out of 801 made; originally sold in Switzerland) and a DMV clerk somewhere felt it needed additional digits - adding the cars's year as a suffix.

I don't see any history at all on the car in the ebay ad; just the standard synopsis of the QM. Only one motor shot, no undercarriage shots. And someone stuck shields on it and removed the original radio. Can't really tell much more.

I loved it; last, biggest iteration of the venerable Colombo 2-cam and gorgeous, curvy Pininfarina body; noticeably more torque than the 330. But understand that it is a true grand touring car and not a sports car. It always felt big to me (and it is; I believe it is still the longest Ferrari ever made - longer than the 612 by 3"), and an enormous turning radius. A car that has had its suspension properly maintained will hold its own in the twisties, however. Nothing beats pulling onto the highway in a QM and winding up through the gears; the sound is indescribable.

I know a car that looked just like this, same color, shields on side etc, sold in CT a few months ago for $79K. It had a lot of records with it and many $ of restoration. I did not see the car in person.

Thanks for the reflections. Your QM was well taken care of by the sounds of it. No deferred MT.
