I did some research on this car when it was at MG. I unfortunantely don't have any of it but I thought the car was originally (or once) sold out of Florida. Perhaps from The Collection. I could be totally off though, I looked at quite a few of these over a period of time. I do remember that this car needed a service though. Best of luck.

Guys, thanks for all this. It is really helping. Have a client that bought that car and is looking for service history, where the car has lived, etc... Really appreciate any and everything that you all know.

I know someone who used to work at the collection for a long time and he kept all the window stickers for cars he sold and he has a black Barchetta sticker. It might be the same one.
PM me and I'll give you his info.

I looked seriously at this car and talked with Gary Birns at MGSL on several occasions.

During one of the times it was on eBay, I recorded this info from the eBay ad, so I assume that makes it public knowledge:

Based on the locations above, I called several dealers and you can get the service records IF you can Fax them proof of ownership. Although Shelton Ferrari (in FL) confirmed they had serviced it, they refused to release records until proof of ownership, but verbally told me it had not had a major servicing under them just work for minor items, new battery, oil, etc. which I thought was very nice of them to discuss with me.

My local dealer was able to run the VIN and show it had completed two of the three major updates (forgot if these are labelled SB, Campaigns, TB, or what...), but the dealer said it had yet to have the OBD connector upgraded with PWR and GND terminals.

To me this is one of the nicest colors for the 550 BPF, but I was disappointed that the missing records, Red Key Fob, security code, and owner's books were absent in the deal although Mr. Birns made several efforts to locate them.

    Hope this helps.
