    Every car has a story.
09451 was born painted white with black.
Scaglietti body #0032, assembly sequence #33.
New 1967 thru Venezuelan importer Carlos Kauffmann in Caracas to Maurizio Marcotulli. 1975 owned by Hernan Capriles in VEN. 1987 with Joe Harth in VEN who owned several Ferraris in dismantled condition, (including a Boano which went to Shaughnessy later). Ed Waterman has 09451 for sale since July 2007 and is asking USD$ 785 K. A real do-it-yourself four-cam.

Why not turning it into 250 GTO replica ?? That would make sooooooo happy our friends on the replica's thread...

But not every story is told....thank you for telling this one !

Hmmm 785K....that doesn't leave much for restoration does it ? (or has the market gone up 50% since I last checked....)

I'm wondering the same thing. Prices have REALLY inflated ... and likely, over-inflated a lot in the last 1 year!

Just about everyone on planet has passed on this car months ago. The general consensus was $600K, tops. This car is many dollars and months away from being a complete running car again.

Car is still owned by Joe Harth. Waterman has it on consignment.

I agree. What I would like to know is how many parts are not there?

Obviously MANY MANY years later, I am following up on this same topic...

Can anyone help me understand what is " wrong " with the nose?

I am looking for previous photos of 09451 , that date back, maybe showing what the nose is supposed to look like so we can help the current owner make it " right " again.

Everything is wrong, especially the missing smile of the grille opening.
Send the car to Carrozzeria BRANDOLI in Montale near Modena, Italy.
They own the original jigs and manichino (body bucks) and are the best to properly restore a 275 GTB or 275 GTB/4.
Mr. Egidio Brandoli Senior has personally bodied these cars in the second half of the 1960s while working at Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Today his son Roberto Brandoli runs the shop.

    Camera lens/wideangle ruins this photo.

Well, perhaps the photo itself is not ruined, but the rather "artistic" image shows the shape of the car quite different than one would expect or hope it to appear in person, not to mention making the determination of the accurate shape of the "nose" nearly impossible.

Do they by chance have all of the original (un-modified) body bucks, fixtures and jigs for 365 GTB/4 coachwork also ?
