My uncle is seriously looking for a late Dino GTS in yellow or red in top condition and fully restored in past (say) 5 years. Does anyone have any history on this car? I am in Chicago and he has asked that I help him find someone to do a PPI. Anyone have a good contact of someone in the Chicago area that knows these cars well? Thanks! Paul

Call and ask for Dave at Continental-they are a licensed Ferrari dealer and have the car. They purchased the car several months ago and have pretty much sorted it out, including replacing the seat and door panels which were not original and going through mechanicals like the air conditioning system etc. It is an older restoration but very nice and it has the distinction of being the last Dino built which is worth some sort of premium. Berlinetta Motorsports also has one of the nicest yellow 74 GTS's that you find. I think it was a Cavalino Platinum award winner. Complete nut and bolt restoration- I think they are asking $395,00, fwiw.

According to Dino Compendium and looking at the cars chassis number, it is indeed the last Dino made. As to the C and F car at Exclusive Motorcars, I was just out there and had looked at that car as well. There are a number of things that aren't right for that car. The color is off, evidently a problem when mixing. The interior is tough to describe, but it is not a correct reproduction pattern on the seats. The belly pan is a solid piece of aluminum, not sure whats going on underneath. Passenger door bows out some or the sill has been pressed in etc. Looks okay, but would need a bunch to be brought back to 'right'. That is not Shawn's car, he is representing it for the owner who bought it and did a bunch of work to get it ready for Scottsdale in January where it did not sell because of the reasons mentioned.
