Does anyone on here live in the Village?

Anyone in the village know why they delayed the renovations in Washington Square park, again?

 

Don't live there, but if it's the same thing that has been holding it up all along its a combination of money and local political infighting over what will actually be done, particularly with regard to fencing and limiting access over night, IIRC.

 

I hear it was the community board saying they weren't consulted about the changes to be made. Sounds pretty petty. Man it's gonna suck for me, especially if the hold the 07 commencement ceremony there. Mandatory double shift..............

 

I used to live right of Wash. Square Park till I moved uptown a year ago. The reason for the delays are the ******* liberal pot smoking birkenstock wearing vesba riding hippies who want the park to be open for all the drug dealing crackhead smoking trash out there.
