Yes I do but the vettes' design must have been finalized long before the F12 was publicly revealed no? Do you think it was a rip off or coincidence.
Mostly coincidence but there are some hints of Ferrari cliches seen in the earlier FF and 458: such as the headlights, the grill, the skirts. Take those and design a high performance front engine sports car, and you are bound to end up with something suggestive of the eventual F12. It would not be the first time that GM seemed to be influenced by Ferrari designs. Having said that, the bulbous hood is vintage American muscle car, and some of the creases evoke the Camarro (unfortunately).
I love the wheels. I hate the side GTR gills and the whole rear experience. There is no breathing room (even slight) between the rear hatch and the tail... The hood is trying too hard. Will it have a nice interior? Is that even possible? Probably not. Robb
Great interiors cost money. They have historically skimped there. No reason to expect it will be different now but there's always hope....
I can see some resemblence to the F12. It will be interesting to see them in person though. I have always felt that photos dont do the big Ferrari's justice, as pictures just dont capture the presence of a car like the 599. I am sure it will be the same with the F12, sitting next to a C7 the similarities will probably fade away.
Yes I do. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is that the new Vette? Ugly. Looks to much like a Viper in the front. What's the deal with the Transformer logo on the hood? Did Hasbro spring for the design? It's one thing to evoke another car style. Its another to do it poorly. The Vette always had it's own look. To mirror another maker is a giant step backwards. The funny thing now will be all the Vette people who poo poo'd the F12 and now will say how wonderful the C7 looks.
It looks like one of those generic sports cars you see in video games that can't afford the licence so they sort of take bits of other cars and blend it all up.
I'm not sure if this is the official new Corvette or not. I would say that the thing I see the most if in this rendering is a Nissan GTR. Additionally, I feel the current Corvette styling is the best the model has ever had and I would not change a thing. Change for the sake of change is not always an improvement.

GM had an opportunity to design a tasteful, competitive future-leaning car and all they did was cut and paste the worst parts of other cars. Yuck!
This is not the new C7 (Vette). It is what Car and Driver rendered based on what they were able to capture. They suspect it will have some of these features but it wont be known until the Detroit Show.
For those that like the F12, they should also like this car, the hood does look a little long. There are few cars that are a better performance value than the Corvette.
real thing is being unveiled now. looks pretty damned good to me. especially for a base model vette. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the profile I see AM Vantage; especially around the side rear window. The wheels are eerily close too... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
