Looking at a few models for purchase, some are from dealers with the CPO tag- is it really worth the additional price tag? I know it comes down to a lot of other factors like model and mileage but I’m not sure if I should still get a PPI done, or basically trust that a certified Ferrari dealer would know what they’re doing

Absolutely have a PPI done. There are plenty of threads here authored by people who trusted a dealer's CPO only to have problems that weren't covered. I actually have a friend right now who is suing the Ferrari dealer over misrepresentation of a California, and of course he didn't have a PPI done.

I will second Nospinzone. Get the PPI. I bought my Ferrari from a dealer and was pushed not to get a PPI. I decided to trust the dealer. Mistake. i probably would have still bought the car but at a lower price since a few things didn't work as described. The PPI gives you bargaining chips as well as run the hell away chips.

I didn’t have a PPI and the car was in such poor condition that the dealer bought it back from me, search my post history by threads started.

Another person who contacted me about the same dealer bought a CPO 458 Spyder that had been in an accident that was not disclosed. He found the repair order and pictures of the car being worked on through a series of odd coincidences.
