I say yes. All the BS and politics has ruined it for me.
I think this season has turned out to be one of the more interesting ones in recent history with all the drama. Personally ... I'm enjoying it. I think it adds a different (and interesting) dimension.
F-1 is better . Just think what would have happened to Alonso if he had blocked Dale Jr. in the pits last Saturday. He would have needed an M1 tank to leave the track that day.
Give it a couple years. Wait until they all have the same engine and an ECU from McBenz and Microsoft.
Yes. Just like nascar. Ferrari - McLaren - BIG GAP - everyone else. Hendrick Motorsport - RCR - BIG GAP - everyone else.
You don't actually have to read the *entire* Internet. I've never really raced ovals, so I still just don't "get" Nascar. I never really liked "Harvey Wallbangers" either. (Just somehow seems to relate.)
The thread was started tounge-in-cheek....nothing could be as bad as nASScrap...but all this political nonsense has turned f1 into entertainment instead of sport. Sometimes it's as ridiculous as "professional" wrestling. I much prefer the way it was years ago.
Considering that it's not a bunch of hillbillies circling an oval track running into each other...I'm gonna have to say NO.
I say NO! I could care less about the BS and Politics. As much as I loved it when Schumi was racing, I think it is getting more interesting to watch. Besides, F1 wasn't an offspring of a bunch of Bootlegging Moonshine Runners. It was Born out of a love for the AUTOMOBILE and to see how far you could push it. +1 Oh The BAD Memories! I feel the same way! Tell JPM to do this and you will see the a war between Nascar fans and the Columbian Mafia. I would rather read a "useless thread such as this one", than to watch a Nascar race. I'll go away now.
Dont know much about nasscrap but it looks crap. People ask me why I like f1 so much it looks so boring I see there point sometimes.. Well thats how nasscrap looks to me..
There's always been controversy, every year, some worse than others. What exactly would you expect if one of the world's most prominent racing marques had it's most treasured asset - it's racing knowledge - stolen? Did you think it would be swept under the table, or do you think that the public would want to know what happened? F1 is both entertainment and sport, and has been for many years, and will stay that way so long as the world sees these guys for what they are: incredible atheletes with remarkable talent in absurdly expensive race cars. Sorry you think this is a boring season, but personally I can't wait to see how it finishes. McLaren is ahead, but Ferrari can pick up a lot on the following tracks, especially with the way Kimi has been driving as of late. As big of a Shumi fan as I am and was, this is much better than the WDC being already settled by now. Also, BMW is making progress, STR revamping, Bourdais signing, next year will be highly anticipated as well.
Forget cars, Moto GP trounces every form of racing on 4 wheels. Watch it once, and you will be hooked. If you thought Schumacher was talented, I have 2 words for you: Valentino Rossi
Ahhh, an Australian supporting his rider - I gotta respect that. Yes, Stoner is doing a phenomenal job this year, I cannot deny that. He has not put one wheel wrong. But let's be serious here - if Rossi and Stoner were riding on the same team, is there any doubt in your mind that Rossi would not be ahead in the points?
If there were no rules, or very few, the cheating, espionage, and politics and other BS wouldn't matter as much. I much rather see a series like that.
well, we don't have Nascar shown here, but all i know is, F1 is slowly starting to get boring. the politics issue aside, the bloody lack of overtaking is the one that bothers me. nowdays, races are won at the 1st turn, or during the pitstops. barely any passing on the track for victory. i hope the FIA really does something about this.
Unfortunately, the silly season and the politics have become more interesting than the actual racing.
