i mean, for a car that can cost over 1/4 million bucks you would think that they would have a website that one can go to for pricing, options, and to see different color combos. yes, they are works of art on wheels and i understand that they are more "boutique" cars. however, what a ferrari is to me and my budget right now is what my BMW M3 is to someone else. i'm sure there are a lot of serious ferrari buyers that would still like to build their dream car online.

    just a thought

    well...
They have a special department. You ring them, and if they recognize the name, you can "build" your own car, any color, any set of options. On occasion, they will do a one off for you, say a 456 Estate if you need room to transport all of your wives, or maybe a Testarossa cab if you are a tall guy playing basketball.
It is much more interactive than a web site.

(PS). Some programmer should be shot for the JavaScript that auto maximizes the page when you first open up ferrari.com

i feel they should be shot, stabbed, burned at the stake... then sent to shark infested waters as they bleed.

Frankly, why is there not an option where we DO NOT allow our browsers to be forced/resized? i mean, in the browser itself, not on the web page?

i guess ferrari doesn't like window shoppers.

sad really cause non-buyers today can quickly become real buyers tomorrow.

then again, who am i kidding? ferrari is snotty and they know it. and they can get away with it. they have a product that society has dictated as the best and a symbol of success (this is primarily aimed at non-enthusiasts so don't take this the wrong way). a bottle of dom is pretty darn expensive but not everyone likes the taste...but its considered one of the best by society as a whole. put a bottle of dom on every table at a wedding and most would make comments about it on their drive home. driving a ferrari (to a non-enthusiast) is like flaunting wealth and there will always be a market for that.

    diesel jeans
    polo shirts
    etc.

    my 2 cents

It's not like nobody's looking. Ferrari is most searched brand on Google! Number One.

www.Ferrari.it is the official Ferrari site.

Remember Ferrari is ITALIAN not American so it has the IT for Italy not the .COM for America.

The market dictates a lot of their marketing efforts...with backlogs of 18 to 24 or more months....why bother? They don't have to... But as the market tightens up, and Lambo Gallardos and Ford GT's chip away at some of their share....maybe things will change? Who knows....

So so web site, but fantastic cars. Besides, for that much money I want to see the car in person in the showroom, not on a computer screen.

  15. www.ferrariusa.com is a great website. I don't think they have updated it in awhile know though, they don't have information on the Enzo, 360 Challange Stradale or 612 Scaglietti.
