    Nifty.

I wonder if a 70-80s 400GTA drivetrain would fit in there

Shaughnessy knows better than to part out such a complete car. It has great potential for somebody with a V12 in their parts stash. How about a hemi?

Dan, the car in your photos appears to be a 330 GT 2+2, not a 330 GTC.

As for the series III GTE with no motor or trans, I have one just like it in my garage!

I thought that he only "toasted" the ponies and didn't carve them up? So where is that V12 going that was removed from the poor horse?

So how much of an "additional expense" would it be for a trans, driveshaft, and serviceable or rebuildable engine?

It would obviously be a NON-profitable labor of love, or Tom would not have started carving already.

Obviously! ;) But it made me wonder what it would take to build my own 330 America. :D

Was this a matching engine or a replacement? Care to share the internal engine number?

    Best wishes, Kare

Nothing is sacred ... guess the SWB owner has enough money. I must say Tom I've seen a lot worse looking GTEs ... but heck nothing to do with me :)

    What a pity.

Tom's email to me says, "no engine to be found, anywhere."

So, unless you know where to find one, you're buying a big planter, or an expensive playhouse for the kids.

maybe you can retrofit a pinto engine.

So SWB owners are now causing RESTORED cars to be parted out?

Better grab 250's while you can...

I disagree. If the motor in MIA and no period correct replacement is feasible, this car is headed for the replica pile. Who ever buys this car will probably chop it and turn it into a 250 Cal or GTO horror.

I say that Tom is the man for parting this car out. Not only will he make more money, but I'm sure that every part has a current 250 GTE owner name on it somewhere.

Get out those wrenches and the camera!

Who, I don't understand your point. The GTE had a motor, it was taken out and sold to a swb owner who probably wanted it AS A SPARE so he could race his car and protect his number matching motor from any race related damage. Yes, it's only a car and now there is only one less...etc. Tom bought 5 GTE's in the last year so maybe there is now 5 less...etc. I'm not bashing Tom, it's just sad that the economics of the situation are such, but then I like indipendent hardware stores, small farms, and small car makers too. Not that, that gets you anywhere. All the best, Yale
