Seriously just how many mistakes is down to his mentality? Too many to count at this point. He should be leading and not be over a race to gain points. At this point I can't blame Ferrari pit wall when he himself is making too many costly ones.

He seems very 'weak'. He is very anxious.....and there is no reason at all.

Vettel is a great developer. His mental health is not in check. He lost the race yesterday having his ego bruised when Kimi snatched pole with an earlier, higher mile, spec 2 engine.

I mean why? He was still in front of Ham so it was perfectly fine kimi was still in front. He could of swap at any other better time. Instead we get this god awful embrassing show that Ferrari put up in front of their home nation. I hate to be Vettel on his media account at this time.

Both Seb and Kimi had mental problems today. Kimi normally is best with tires but within 10 laps of his softs, the rears were already gone. You knew the race was over as soon as Hamilton stayed out another 6 laps and then had fresher tires.

Why Vettel was attacking Kimi in the first corner and not protecting himself at the rear is beyond me. And the hit on Hamilton looked really weird to me.

It hurts for me to say, but I believe Hamilton owns Seb mentally. Serb deep down doesn't think he can beat him. He's defeated mentally.

I don't think can be blamed for the strategy error.

Elton's tyres where 8 laps newer....when did Elton pass Kimi? Lap 45....8 laps to go...

I think its a good idea ,Airlines are already bringing in a Mental Health Check, after some high profile crashes.

Only problem is half the grid would probably fail:eek:

Seb is an IDIOT! Throwing / thrown this championship away.... He would have caught and passd Elton easily within a few laps... Instead he was greedy and choked once again.... I love the Scuderia but Vet is a weak minded/disciplined moron.... I hope Elton Kicks his ASS.... He and Benzo run a tight ship... Ferrari should take note

For all his flaws, Vettel is still the best driver the Scuderia can get.
The other top drivers aren't available, being Under contract.
Vettel makes monumental errors sometimes, but he is, at the moment, among the 5 best drivers on the grid, IMO

BTW, strategy errors like today will never convince Hamilton to sign for the Scuderia.
Toto Wolff may be a bit of a sod from time to time, but he manages an organisation that runs like clockwork.
Ferrari has always made good cars, from time to time, only to be let down by poor operational efficiency.

Seb has proven unfit to be the #1 at Ferrari; he’s simply made too many amateur-hour mistakes and has only demonstrated capability of winning when in clear air.

He needs to go...it really infuriates me to watch especially when Ferrari has finally after so many seasons delivered the equipment capable of winning this year.

The championship is already lost unless Hamilton & Merc really f’up a few of the next races which is extremely unlikely.

Seb will be remembered as the driver incapable of winning for Ferrari in a competitive winning car.

He needs to be replaced. As much as many ppl like to fault Alonso (most recent ex #1 Ferrari driver), he has never bungled things at the magnitude nor frequency of Seb this season.

Was I the only one to see Kimi administer the Schumi Chop to Vettel on the start, opening the door for Hamilton? If they had worked together this would have been an easy Ferrari 1-2. "Solid #2 driver" my foot!

Alonso is hated by many but I believe he would be leading the WDC if he was with the Scuderia. Seb seems to want to win from turn 1. As I have said previously the team needs to sit down after quali and discuss what is to happen if Kimi has qualified better or is next to Seb. Seb and the strategists need to be told in no uncertain terms that if the results that the car is capable to deliver are not achieved then the door will be open for replacements to take over their positions.

We should all be celebrating instead of feeling despair and frustration.

    Let's face one thing

Bottas has helped Hamilton lots more than Kimi has helped Seb. I'm not talking about giving tows or being a rolling chicane. Kimi hasn't taken points away from the other drivers very often since the two joined up.

I don't believe this, Alonso is leaving F1 and he knows that he assos be competing if he were at Ferrari. Also, why is Riccardo going to Renault instead of the Scuderia next season?
Alonso would not have made the mistakes Seb has this season.

Yes. I can fix his head if they ask me. With a crowbar.

Now seriously, a chat with Arrivabene and/or a specialist in sports psychiatry is not out of place. Vettel is not very smart, but he's humble enough to learn.

Stop looking at Alonso through rose-tinted glasses.

Alonso WAS at Ferrari for several years and didn't win a title for them.
Instead he turned against his team, arranged for some of the staff to be sacked, and disorganised the Scuderia with his intrigues.
Ferrari had been slowly recovering for that, realising that some important staff had been sacked to please Alonso.

Alonso finally left Ferrari in a huff, claiming they were unable to give him a winning car.
Not exactly the team builder mentality, is it?
Compare that with Lauda or Schumacher, for example, who Drew people around them and knew how to motivate them.
The guy is destructive wherever he goes; everybody should have learnt that now.

Why Ferrari should suffer another dose of Alonso is beyond me.
Also, the future is to look forward, not backwards.
You don't solve the problem of today but using a failed recipe.

That's really because Ferrari hasn't a single ****ing clue in how to organize a rolling chicane. They think letting Kimi out on ruined tires, generally on wide, easy to overtake on tracks, is the best way to slow down a Mercedes. Happened too many times. You can hold them up for a corner, 2 at best. Also, the fact that Mercedes has been the fastest car for all these years has a lot to do with it. How is Kimi meant to be ahead of the faster cars, really? With later car updates, poor strategy and so on. Ferrari isn't dominant, when they do grab pole it's by a minimal margin. When they do win a race it's by a small margin.
