Does the 348 have any design flaws to watch out for?

Removing the engine is really not that hard. I did it alone in a one-car garage with a couple of jacks and jackstands. I think the deal is overblown because a lot of guys spend $100/hr labor to get it done. It is somewhat time-consuming, but it's much better for this old back to do the valves and belt while sitting on a stool than while leaning over the wings! If you know how to do timing belts and valves, that makes this car a bargain!!!!!!!!!!

I am sort of looking forward to the oportunity to see or do an "engine out"

When you get to do the engine out you'll wonder what the heck all the fuss is written about, its about as simple an engine out task as it gets, because it had to be designed that way. I learn't so much about my car through that process that I can't recommend it enough.

Problem...it now worries the heck out of me the thought of anyone else carrying out that level of work on my car ever in the future, qualified F mechanic or not!

In fact there were so far only two occasions I entrusted my car to the main dealer, they scuffed up on both.
