Considering buying a 575... having previously owned a 550 I understand the benefits of having a sports exahaust... Does the 575 benefit from a sports exhaust in the same way the 550 does or does the stock exhaust have a pleasing enough note? I know I can always add one later - but I was considering using it as a bargaining chip during purchase negotiations. Many thanks... Leon
I cant imagine why you wouldn't do that anyway. As to your question, it's pretty much the same as a 550. DL
I think the 575 sounds great with the stock exhaust. I've heard you can have the dealer open the baffles, make is sound even better.
Thanks... As to why I wouldn't bargain anyway - if the 575 is just a little more throaty that the 550, then that will do me fine.
575's cats are bigger (longer) than 550. The car sounds LAME. It's even worse than 550, like a little blender.
This is an apples and oranges thing. If you like your cars to announce their presence with authority -- you are going to want to put on a Tubi or a Capristo... no matter what anyone says. Driving the car it is very quiet for an F-car below 4,500 with stock exhaust. Above that it sounds better, but it is hardly sensory overload. For some people, they like the stealthier nature of the 575 this way... My guess is you will want one, although I've found I prefer the car without it. Loud and nasty seems to suit the 360s more IMHO. If you do then it is fair for you to use as a chip in negotiations. After all, what you are really saying is this car isn't right for me unless I spend 5k, so lower your price. Nothing wrong with trying that.
If you hear a 575 next to an Aston Vanquish, it desperately needs something. The Aston sounds raw and muscular, while the 575 sounds like it's asthmatic. It's a shame because the 575 looks so much cleaner and sharper than the Vanquish. Forza, Cavallini
