    Hey everybody,

I've owned my 360 Spyder for 4 years now (ECU upgrade, 19" Imola racing 3 piece wheels, custom stereo and Fuchs exhaust) that I would consider to be the perfect car except for:

    1) Melting switch surface coatings. I can deal with this. It may be my imagination, but it seems using 70% alcohol swabs has stopped an episode of melting with 1 treatment. ie. A month ago, out of the blue, I noticed several melting switches and a melting interior door handle that I rubbed with Drugstore 70% alcohol swabs taking off the melting that had already occured and left the remaining coating in good condition. If this seems to hold for a couple more weeks, I'll make a separate posting on it.

    2) A battery that drains somewhat easily (something I hope to fix after reading about the Odyssey 925T here)

    3) and lastly, and the point of this post, an outside door lever design that too easily breaks the internal locking mechanism. Rough Valets/Car detailers and careless passengers have broken the door mechanism 5 times over the last 4 years (Doesn't sound too bad except when you factor I've probably driven the 360 about 150 times over that span) ie. every 30x I take out the car, either the driver or passenger door mechanism gets broken. As most know, it's a fairly common occurence on 360's where an aggressive pull on the outside door handle can cause mechanism failure. I believe there is a nylon/plastic lever piece that either breaks or pops out of the internal door lock mechanism or a line can break. In my case, it's always that nylon/plastic piece that causes headaches. I'm curious if anybody knows if the door lock mechanism has been beefed up in the 430 and if so, can the 360 door lock be upgraded to it?

    Best regards --- John
