Call Greg Theis at Ron Tonkin--5032557560. In the past, they have hosted one track day every year, usually in September. There was talk recently of perhaps more than one, but I don't know where the situation stands. I do not know if a date has been finalized for this year.

    Ron,
Yes Tonkin GT has one day a year, in Sept or Oct at PIR. Greg or Kelly at Tonkin GT would be your call as Scotty said I have searched for more ways to get my car on the track. Seems that Alpha, Porch clubs have many track days but Ferrari guys don't? CRAZY??
Pro-schools is a good way I found out to get on the track. Tonycan - F-chatter (profession racer) teacher for Pro-schools can give you all the details. Great guy and a former 348 racer. He said he will show me how to (really) drive my car. PM him here for more details. $400 first Pro-school, then it gets cheaper and more tracktime.

    Hope this helps,

    Mike

Doesn't the FCA have reciprocal privileges with the other clubs for track days? I used to be a BMW club member even though I've never owned a BMW in my life, because it was cheap and then you could go to any other club's track days.

    Has this changed?

Don--I'm not sure. BMW, Porsche and Alfa club are all reciprocal. Have to own a Porsche to be a PCA member, but this is not true with BMW (don't know about Alfa). All clubs, in my experience, are happy to let a Ferrari in--in some cases it is space available, in some case first come, first served.

The guys at TGT say that , "yes, Alpha and BMW let you drive with them" I think you need to have a few schools under your belt first though

Hi Mike. Every track day I have been to at PIR (BMW, Alfa, Ferrari, Cascade Sports Car Club) have a novice class, with instructors, that make it great for you "first time". I would imagine that same is true at the Porsche events--the only issue is that some times the size of the novice group is limited, based on the number of instructors available.

    Cheers--Scotty

Drove it Thurs, Fri, Sat and Today--Yahoo. One good drive, the others more routine (I was gonna say mundane, but that just can't be when your behind the wheel of a Ferrari). Todays trip was to get a 3/16" router bit--both windows down, enjoyin' the breeze...

I hope everyone in the region got to enjoy their cars this weekend.
