    Hi,

I was looking online for videos of ferraris and found this one that was a video taken by a guy who happened to see it in the street. The Ferrari in this video has acceleration that i have never seen in a ferrari before. This brings me to ask two questions.

    1. Does the Ferrari F430 have better or slower acceleration?
    2. What Ferrari is in the video?
    3. Over all which is faster, the F430 or the mistery Ferrari in the video.
    4. Is the Ferrari in the video stock?

Without Further ado here's the video

The car is a F40 and the car is a no mystery car as it's among one of the most famous cars in the world. The F430 isn't faster than the F40 and it will never be as much of a collectors car as the F40 is.

    Thx for replying..

1.Is the acceleration seen in the F40 possible with the F430 if a supercharger was bought?

2.What upgrades do you think would be needed for the F430 to match that?

The performance is awsome on the F40 but looks out dated

    1.Slower
    2.F40
    3.F40, no doubt
4.Yes, looks to be. Would be much louder with LM turbos and Tubi.

I suggest you read up on F40s. For you to not know what an F40 is truly shows your lack of knowledge when it comes to Ferraris. Read up...! The F40 is one of the most important sports cars of all time, IMO. It was the first production car to break the 200mph mark and it was the last Ferrari that Enzo ever worked on.

The experience behind the wheel of an F40 and an F430 are so different, they can't even be compared. The F40 is an unplugged car whereas the F430 is mostly controlled by computers.

F430 could match the F40 if u add turbo chargers... as the f40 has them .. also change to tubi exhaust which gives xtra BHP but stock vs stock .. F40 is much better although the F430 has more BHP then the F40. Do correct me if im wrong.. as im not a 100% sure myself :)

Sorry Evo and other magazines compared the 430 with the F40 and found that though the F40 was a blast to drive it was slower around most tracks. Obviously technology in the 430 played a major role.

Even track time around Fiorono Ferrari's test track found the 430 faster.

I am not sure about acceleration but I suspect they are about the same.

The F430 isn't that far behind a F40 when it comes to acceleration. If you think the F40 looks dated then the lines of the F430 will bored you very quickly. The slight modification to a F430 will make a stock F40 seem slow, like adding a win turbo.

Any Ferrari fan know the answers to these questions. What is it that you're looking for?

How in the hell do you say an F40 is a mystery car? I feel in love with Fcars when I first saw this car back in the day. I still have dreams about this.

What i was looking for was being able to have that awsome raw torque on an F430 that allows the F40 to instantly pull away like that. Would twin superchargers or twin turbos do it??

Just my totally biased opinion here, but I don't believe Ferrari can ever top the F40 - at least not in my mind. It's like one of those things that can never be duplicated. Yes, the Enzo is great, and I'm sure the FXX is amazing, but the F40 will always be the top super car to me - no matter how "old" it becomes.

Ferrari is the top... and the F40 is the top Ferrari (if you have red blood in your veins).

    :)

And to like cars and not know what the F40 is.. that's like saying you are heterosexual and not sure there are women on the planet.

Yes it will pull away and a lot faster than the F40 on that video, some turbo lag and after that it will really get going. Twin turbos is the way to go.

I feel just like you, but for me the top Ferrari in my heart is the 288GTO.

Performance comparisons are not really relevant. Comparing a modern car with one that is 5-10 years old is pretty much a joke. With few exceptions, the modern car wins.

That does not mean that the older car is not more significant or important. Often the older car is much more important than the newer car. Otherwise it wouldn't have any chance against a newer car.

As an example, a modern mustang will easily crush a 58 vette but what is a better, more important, car? Yea, I know the comparison isn't Ferrari's but it is more approachable for people who don't know the Ferrari lineage.
