    Hi,
    It's still not clear to me after 2 hours searching older speedo sensor threads if I must remove the transmission gear oil before removing the sensor p/n 116987 from my 1984 308 QV. It faces down. Help, please....

    Might be a good time to just drain and change the gear oil while you are under there if you have not done it for a while.

    Hi - thanks, both, for the swift reply. As I changed the gear oil in July, I'm happy to hear I should be able to not do it again so soon, only 150 miles driven since then.
