    Apparently some of the tainted food can cause acute renal (kidney) failure, which can result in death. Definately worth checking to see if the food you feed to your extended 4-legged friend is on the list.

    Crazy stuff...I read about this on cnn...

    I feed (fed) my kitten Chester some Nutro Kitten food for his dinners...not on the list (only Nutro Max and Nutro Natural), but I hate to say it, it's off my list for good now. Too many other choices out there to take a risk...

    We stay away from the generic stuff too. The problem is that often times your pet will get onto one type of food, and swapping something different is next to impossible.

    You buy all the fancy stuff for your pet, and at the end of the day they just want to eat the plastic it came in -- lol.

    Pets are really funny. I have three cats two of which will not eat the same stuff for more than two weeks at a time. They make it real interesting as we run around buying all sorts of different stuff hoping the little "princes" will eat it.
