Anyone do this? We have a pitbull we would like to take along but I don't want it to start destroying my interior. Anyone just fold down the seats and put a barrier?

Filson makes a dog cover for back seats that attaches so it stays in place. We just throw a blanket down over the seats.

Pitbull ? Banned breed in the U.K. Pitbull and pitbull cross breeds killed quite a few children in the UK over the last few years. I would think the protection of your seats are the least of your problems

My dog is a German Pinscher and weighs about 19-20kg - he usually sits in the passenger seat on a few blankets (covering the seat and center console).

I have not tried putting him in the back with the seats down, but have seen a few pics online with larger dogs in the back - not sure how best to make sure that they are protected in a crash though. In the front i can just use his dog seatbelt buckle.

Re Pitbulls - from what I have seen, it is not the dogs that are the issue, but the people who seem to favour them in the UK. The ones I know are the sweetest dogs in the world, a reflection of their owners

Good looking dog. My son has a Wheaton that looks about the same and is a good riding dog. Our two Jack Russel terriers are way too crazy to go in any good car. Porsche Cayenne is the best ride they get and then not often mainly to the vet.

As said already, a dog more often than not reflects their owners personality and in the UK we are unfortunate to have some owners acquiring potentially aggressive dogs as a trophy to show how hard or macho they are. Your dog obviously returns the kindness you show it.

Hmm I think ppl should be banned in UK before pitbull. I'm almost 100% sure over there ppl kill more ppl than pitbulls do, therefore, banning ppl is the ultimate solution to the society.

I don't have a pitbull or any beef in this but that law sounds cute.

Back to the topic, I use lots of soft and big blankets to cover up my interior when traveling with my dog, I find that a lot more flexible and easy to manage.
