This was in the bottom of the door well right by where the speaker sits. Looks like a spacer to me, but to what? I've found one spacer in the parts catalog (#40: 60441409) but that one is brass and much smaller. Anyone have a clue? (From the way the vapor barrier is tacked on with double sided tape and duct tape, someone has been in here before to work on the windows!)

That isn't the window stop is it ? I know that at the bottom of the inner door area, when the window goes all of the way down , it hits on 2 rubber bumpers, not sure if that's it though.
(Its been a while since I lubed my windows)

it's a spacer for either one of your armrest screws/bolts or for the door panel itself.

How big is it and what's it made of. Could it be a spacer around the hole for the emergency window crank? Hard to tell without some sort of reference.

Not one of the window buffers. I don't think it is the spacer for the window crank, that one is still in place. Looks to be made of metal.

I found the same spacers in my door when I disassembled it on my 328. I think they may be spacers for mounting the power lock actuators, as I know mine were bad and had been removed.

Yes, this is the power lock actuator spacer (which does not have a part number in the book). The top one (the one you can't see without looking up into the door) was replaced by a nut of almost the same width. Thanks to everyone for the replies.
