    For instance, if you have a few domains on godaddy you're not using, and expiry date for said sites is Labor Day;

    How do you go about it?

    Is it worthwhile?

    I believe ebay has a special running where there's no listing fee for the first 5 items. Not sure if it applies to domains but can't hurt to try there.

    Sedo.com is another one that's free upfront and they'll take a fee after it sells. If you've got decent traffic to the sites, you can "park the domain" and make some cash on the side to offset any registration cost.

    The value of a domain is generally higher when it's shorter, has been around for some time, has good traffic, doesn't have any issues from previous owners (i.e. not blocked or banned from search rankings), etc.
