Ok mate, well don't have that bit so this may not help at all but as I've dragged her out of the carcoon I'll post up anyway. Is water tight in rain (and hail as I found out a few weeks back, interesting driving when a lot of ice had built up on the road, mind!). Do get some in when using a pressure washer though, but have pilfered two large white towels which go on the seats and surounding trim when I wash her. Almost didn't get caught nicking them too. Almost but not quite. Apparently my choice of Laura Ashley towels wasn't good and my comment that they matched and looked nice and soft so wouldn't scratch anything fell on deaf ears.....

Jeff, as an aside I notice in the shot you've got the same 'vintage' of seat as me and the belt can drag a little over it and mark it. Got these from the Ferrari specialist I go to. They just velcro round the belt and you position them next to the seat to protect it. Tad posey (which is probably why I like them!) but a simple addition and save your seats from marks.

Yes, I'm the same one as on CS :)

I think you may be missing that little blob bit of rubber??? Does anyone else have a pic of what they have to confirm one way or another?

ON the seatbelts my seats are fitted with brackets to keep the belt off the shoulder of the seat but thanks anyway.

No worries, mate. What year is yours? Thought it was earlier than mine but might be wrong. I don't have the bits on the seats and no holes for one to be fit. Where is your battery?

Re the 'blob' got to say not actually seen it on a TS before. Got several pictures of different 348 TSs and can't really see it on any of them. Maybe an upgrade of some sort?

Ok.. here's mine (btw.. 93 TS SS)

I'm guessing maybe the fore seal on the windshield is the culprit? both sides are like that...

On a related note... you guys have sticky parts on your clamp downs? this is the 3rd time I've touched that darn part and fingers come back black. Time for the Easy Off!!!!

Hi there. Regarding the clamps, did have sticky, tried to get it off quickly but had no luck. Didn't have time for anything major so just waxed them as an interim measure. Sounds odd but worked a treat.

David - your "blobs" dont extend beyond the front seal so I'm convinced more than ever thats what my problem is.

Learn something new every day. About the most abrasive compound/chemical that touches my car is snow foam. Could be I'm a tad over protective!

    Lol!

I got tired of my fingers getting black and inadvertently touching the tan leather.

The easy off works great. I guess I need to paint them now. read about a bunch of folks who use this method.

You'd really pucker if you saw me use acetone on the leather to remove my black sticky fingerprints.... ;)

    Nail polish remover!

It was a little shuddering when a bunch of the tan came off on the towel. But when it dried it looked great. I can't even see it and I'm super anal retentive.

Again it was a suggestion from one of the veteran fchatters!

    Love this forum!

Andrew, I've seen one tiny hole in you logic. Jeff and I live in the UK. If we never went out when there was a chance of rain, we'd never go out at all! My car lives in a carcoon with a dehumidifier inside. If I get caught out she's back in her bubble with the air blowing over her and the dehumidifier turned up. Doesn't take long till she's bone dry again.

How come these things never show up in the 348 vs 355 threads? :)
Drove mine 300 miles from TN to VA in the rain yesterday, no leaks, whoopdeedoo.

They do, just that we fob them off as unimportant, like you lot saying that it's a minor inconvenience when your engine blows up :D
