Frankly.....there are alot of painful ricers, vettes, BMW and pick up, etc drivers out there that insist on instigating some sort of race many times that I go out in the Fcars, when I'm just minding my own business........it happens alot less in the SL55.

I am as game as anyone (ask Alex Papas :).......so I have no problem in taking them on (if the situation is right). Invariably they run out of balls and skill quite quickly and are left for dust. Invariably when they catch up at the next light or lay by and I try to say hi...they have their head turned the other way or turn off before they catch up.

The world is full of simpletons and attitude.....just be happy!

It's an early 80s car, before premium unleaded I think, so it came with 8.6:1....the same day I read that ion the manual was the day the blower plan began. I never considered an air/air cooler just because there isn't much cool air in the engine bay...although since I've seen a 355TT with cooler behind the rear wheel, it looks like a nice set-up and I could have done that too...although I was also going for a clean OEM look and to use the air/air I would need to side mount the blower instead of putting it under the manifold the way I did.....I know, I know when looks count more than hp, its me acting girly :) (no hard feelings, I was being a weeny for no appearnt reason...it just bothers me to see ferrari owners afraid of supras)

I like to stay way from things like water or alcohol injection on street cars....I think the system should be stable and safe as is without worrying that I used up all the fluid and the engine is going to explode. Good for strip days though with a pulley change I guess. I was planning to add NOS until I drove the thing and realized it was everything I hoped it would be as is. I don't go to the strip more than once every couple years anyway, I autocross and it won't help there. Now I really just want to flatten the boost curve a bit for add safety (and of course power, but when my wife's around, it's safety) and call it done.
