it was a poor 69 Mustang. My guess is the valet got surprised by the power, lost it & rammed into the pole, maybe he stood on the gas while looking for the brake

Valet in San Fran mashed my front Active Aero dam in my '94 VR-4 way back when. I don't trust them either.

I think there was a story here a while back of a valet at the Ritz letting a Ferrari roll back into a limo.

One of their valets stole my sunglasses. Thats the only story I have.

I had a VW 5speed and to get reverse you had to push down then left then up, but the valet in Detroit couldn't figure that out. Had it in first and drove my car into a new Lincoln. After waiting for a few minutes he comes walking back up and askes me to move my car for him. It was my old beater, really didn't care but made sure he called the Lincoln guy out to show him the damage and made sure the valet guys paid.

Thinking back I should have tried to get them to paint the bumper or something.

Ouch. Well, it could have been worse, since had the pole not been there the Mustang would have found itself resting atop that motorcycle with just as much damage.

Hell, I won't even let the valets in my own parking garage touch my 360 or my Rolls. No repeats from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, please.

Yeah, ask pchop to tell you about that one :( was a sorry night for him that I'm sure he's still mourning...

I've had both my cars chipped, dinged and even joy ridden by garage valets - I swore off them and now if the valet won't let me park, lock and keep the keys, I drive away.

Yeah, the transfer case is the weakest link when you up the ponies. ;) Don't let the valet park your VR-4 either!

    Beware of these two valets.

They've dented and wrecked many cars and have been fired from numerous hotels all around the country.
