My dad had a Donzi when i was growing up. It is like a ferrari. It has its regularly scheduled maintanences (geez i cant spell tonight) Every summer's end it was taken out of the water and dismantled and gone through. I dont know what they are like today, but it was fast, great riding, didnt have the best turning. I would just say its like the Ferrari's of the boating world. Oh, and it was hard to find someone to work on it down in NC.

Donzis are nice but Cigarettes are the top of the heap. Fountains and Formulas are further up the food chain as well.

The maint. issue are not a intensive on the Donzi boats as you might think, unless your looking at ZR models. When you start to S/Charge boat yes the do require more. The larger 496mags/and 525 EFI's are pretty good. The craftmanship and build quality are very good. The Cigs are indeed monsters of maint. if you get into hi-compresion motors and thate were most tend to go.

I run a Formula and it gives alittle of both worlds w/496's. Some good speed and a small cabin. If I didn't have kids I would run a Donzi, great boats.

Not any more. Outerlimits are by far the top of the heap now.

Great boats for the money, you don't see them as often like a baja.
    MTI's are top notch also.

I have a 1997 Donzi Classic 22 and I love it! It'll do 60 mph all day long (gps verified) or it can just motor along nicely. Gotta love that V8 burble too :)
