Attached is a picture of a metal ring that fits into the space of the manual window crank door card plug. Where these available from the factory or are these aftermarket pieces?

That's a factory part. The plug snaps into the metal ring. I'm missing both ring and plug on my 1984 qv. I was told these parts are not available. When I purchased the car, I thought someone had installed two small speakers in that location. Come to find out, it's a cloth covered cap in place of the missing plugs. If you or anyone has a lead on these parts, I'm interested. I have black interior, but color doesn't matter as I can have them recovered.

So beneath the plug is this metal ring? In the picture, it's just missing the plug?

Be careful Patrick, as there are at least two different designs out there.

    No, Sorry.

Mine is from my '81 and I have NO idea when they made the slight changes that made them no so compatible.

Can SOMEONE help Patrick with a pic?

Patrick, you can try a search. IIRC there was a thread awhile back (6 months+) that had pics of the different cranks.

There's really not much to that part... it's just a dome-shaped plug, covered in vinyl. Rather easy to fabricate yourself. (Image attached from an earlier thread reply)

yep - 70 euro - converted with shipping would be about 100.00

we will do a quick drawing and laser cut them out, do a quick form and add the stud.....

hopefully we can do all that and be able to sell them for 50 each US....

If someone sends the dimensions of the plug and the hole it goes into I can 3D print some and share the stl file on here for anyone who wants to do the same.

Any updates on this thread? I ended up ordering those crazy priced plugs and rings from Dino Parts. I also received a plug from @Newman as a reference since I thought I might have to make my own. The Dino plugs are larger than the older original part from Newman. 44mmOD vs. 41mmOD for the plugs. I assume the 41mm is correct. @yelcab also measured one on a 308 he was working on and had 41mm.
