Both of my door jamb interior light switches failed. The insulating washer came apart and allowed the contact to come adrift. Repaired them by drilling and taping for a 3 mm screw. While there...stretch the spring and clean the contact points. Needed to fab a new insulating washer from stiff plastic. Easy job!

My Doorjamb Switch gave up the ghost couple of months ago. I notice that your Switches have the Male Tab where the Female connector goes on that points in the same direction as the axis of the spring movement. My switch, when I removed it was at 90 degrees to the axis of the movement. As there is not enough room for the spring to move fore and aft, the Tab had fatigued and broke. I bent the tab on the replacement Switch to look like yours, and it works fine now. This is what WaltP may be referring to as not looking quite right...? Walt..?

BTW, take care of those Switches, they are not available anymore. I was luck to get one from someone on this site. You can use a Porsche Switch but the plastic is Black instead of White for the Ferrari ones.
