    Having 95 spider door jamb repainted to fix scratches in striker area. What is typically done with VIN sticker? Can it be removed and replaced or does it have to be masked?

    Every one I've seen has been masked off. Doubt it'd come off in one piece.

    The VIN decal is a tricky matter. Those decals are in most cases designed to destroy themselves upon removal. In fact car theives will cut around a VIN decal and graft that part onto a doner stolen car. I doubt that you will be able to remove the decal or order a new one. Only the dealer can answer whether you can order a new one. Ask the paint shop what they can do to blend the area and then compound so that it is not visible. Good luck with it.
