    My passenger side door latch has a plastic cover over it which is starting to chip. The driver side latch has no plastic cover at all and leaves some play when the door is shut. What would be a good fix for this? Can the plastic cover be bought separately?

    I tried some searches, but came up empty handed.

    The outer handles, at least, are from a Fiat X1/9. Is the latch also from the X1/9?

    Good question...

    I just found a set of decent X1/9 latches for $15 :). When I get them I'll check it out.

    I believe the length is different from the X19. The handles look the same and are the same size but the Ferrari are a soft metal and the Fiat is plastic.
