    I got my 2005 f430 last summer and had it in a mouth ago to get some work on it, got it back and it was chirping when i locked and unlocked the doors. cool, didn't know it had this feature. assuming its factory and not aftermarket. Maybe someone can clarify.
    I thought maybe they reset something and it started working.

    then a take it back to have them correct something else an when I get it back this time, no chirping...

    strange, emailed them and waiting to her back what they say..

    Anybody have any input on something I might check OR have them, if you they sure..

    Thanks...

    Mine does not chirp......it would be nice if it did, though.

    Keep us posted, please.

    Same thing happened to me. Had my 2007 for a year with no chirp. Brought it into Boardwalk for annual service in March and is chirping about 90% of the time now on lock and unlock. But I have also had a stone dead battery twice since the service after sitting only a few days which never happened before the service - not saying it has anything to do with the chirping but something is different.

    Agreed. The chirping is inconsistent with my 2006 F430....

    My 2007 only chirps after the battery disconnect switch has been cycled and then it only chirps for few presses of the key button.

    this is what my servive guy repled back with;

    Normally when they stop ‘chirping’ it is due to the battery in the siren failing. If that’s the case it’s not a big deal to replace.

    anybody know where qnd how to replace this?

    I'm pretty sure it should only chirp upon locking if one of the doors not fully closed or the rear deck lid or front not closed. Basically a warning to alert something is not closed.

    Atleast that is what happens on my 09 16m

    Does that mean they replaced the battery when you brought it in?

    My scud only chirps (twice) when the trunk or a door is not secured.

    No chirp upon locking the 430, lock and unlock sound the same to me but I did notice lock is a longer flash of the lights, unlock is a shorter flash of the lights.

    No, but they think it can be fixed by replacing the siren battery. NOW the question is , why did it stop working. They had the f430 for a couple of weeks. I bet they let the regular battery run down by not having to battery maintainer hooked up I provide them and that is why it stopped working.. but just a guess..
