lately i have issues locking my door!
as soon as i get of the car, i hit the key lock, the signals come on once and the door tries to lock, but it fails and stays open.
and if i open the door, the alarm comes on. i have to click again, switch off the alarm, stay for a while, like 10-15 mins, then the door gets locked!

i tried locking by the key it self, still the same!
glad the places i go to, doesn't really need the door to be locked, and the car is mostly under my view.

Could be the door locking actuator going bad. I had the issue in my car but I have a 360. I had the oppisite happen doors locked and I could not get back into it. Cheap Fiat plastic part located in the driver side door.

Yup, sounds like the kind of issues that effect the 360 alright.

There's a cable that runs from the outer handle to the inner lock. I loops down below the lock and then back up to it. Debris, water, gunk collects in the lower loop and gradually prevents smooth operation leading to the door lock getting stuck.

Another problem is the cable pulling off the lock mechanism - there's a small plastic piece that keeps it engaged which can brake allowing the cable to disengage.

I suspect the cable in your case though. Search for Door Lock Problem 360 and you'll probably find a thread or two with pictures.

    Best of luck.

would that issue let you lock the door after like 10-15 mins normally?
today happened, i just left the car, and came back and just clicked the switch, it locked it!
i re-opened it, and opened the door, closed the door, and locked the door like nothing happened!
drove the car back home, parked, and i was able to lock it.

Sounds absolutely classic sticky-cable to me!

It does sound like a mechanical problem with the lock. When you press the lock button it activates the engine immobilizer and the alarm but the mechanical lock does not activate. Then when you try to open the door manually the alarm naturally goes off unless you press the unlock button again before doing so.

    that's exactly what's happening!
so is it the locking actuator?
