Door mechanism replacement advice needed

Hi all.

I just replaced my driver's side door mechanism in my 2003 360 for the jammed cable issue. I used a new mechanism from Eurospares and the installation went fine. The mechanism seems to be working, however it won't stay locked. When I hit the lock button with the key fob I can hear it lock and then immediately unlock. I've checked all the electrical connections, everything seems to be plugged in. I even disconnected the mechanical connection to the interior lock lever as well as exterior lock cylinder. Even with everything disconnected, the key fob remote just triggers it to lock and then immediately unlock.

Any ideas what would cause this?
