I am missing one piece on the passenger's door of my 246. It's the small metal piece at the top of the inside of the door, held by 3 screws, and holding the door front rubber moulding. Pictured here (picture stolen from another thread.)

Does anyone know a source for these?
Also, were they originally painted body color?

Very easy piece to make with a bead roller. If you don't find one just take the opposite side to a sheet metal shop and have one made.

Wouldn't the handing be different? ie curvature

As raceboy9 has said, you will have to get one made. Yes they are body colour.

That finisher was only used on the GTS models. They are polished aluminum and Rutlands has both sides in stock.

It holds the door rubber in place and all models had those as far as I am aware. My GT has them!! they are body colour finish as well, never seen them polished ally.

You are quite correct Tony. These small metal covers are present on both the GT and GTS models to hold the forward door seal in place and should be finished in body colour. The GTS has an additional chrome trim on the inner edge of the front door that mates up with the chrome surround of the quarter light window.

Here are photo's of the trim before painting from my car #04054 plus a photo of the painted seal holder trim piece as fitted to my GTS which also shows the chrome trim next to the vent window.

Of course now it looks like over the years, the gap underneath for the moulding has been painted over / filled...
    Thanks for the replies.
