Hello, I think my factory speakers have finally reached their end and I'm looking for the simplest drop-in replacement. I do not have the sub option. From research I've done here it looks like 6.5" is the speaker size to look for.

The packages that I find with 6.5" speakers contain both tweeter and mid-range speaker and a separate cross-over.

If I wanted to replace the tweeter and the speaker where would I install this crossover? Would there be any drop in replacements for both tweeter and speaker with no cross-over to worry about?

Note that I'm not looking for any upgrade; a basic set will do. The radio rarely gets used but recently turning it on sounded like the speakers were broken which I'd like to fix...

Thanks, I saw the videos, and checked out their site. They have a $1K upgrade which is very very nice but I'm interested to spend the least amount of time and $ and just make the car not sound like a junkbox anymore...hence the request here for a basic plug-n-play replacement if anybody has gone through the same issue.

hard to find a plugNplay assembly but you can look at Morel car audio

they may have somewhat of an offering you could use.

where there is an included network you can wrap in plastic and leave in door below the 6 1/2" driver

For just the door speaker split system, the Focal split system pretty much fits right into the exact factory spaces and is awesome. This is what Scuderia Audio was selling for this as well. I have this setup. The lower door speaker is behind the factory grille so it is invisible as an upgrade. The upper tweeter goes right into the factory pod and other than a tiny "Focal" label that is almost invisible, it's a perfect fit. I have a full system replacement from Scuderia Audio and I can tell you that it is the best money spent. The factory parts are garbage along with the head unit. My fairly inexpensive Pioneer head unit replacement is even day and night better than anything that ever came in these cars.

Ditto all the positive comments about Mike Niday. I ended up with the Focal 5.25" speakers and Focal tweeters. I elected not to add his or any other woofer system which I find ugly and tumor-like, and unnecessary for me. He recommended a tiny Mosconi amp which I easily installed and which fits nicely and invisibly behind the glovebox.

The factory door speakers in the 360 and 430 have their own home brewed crossovers built in. You'll notice that the midrange speaker in the door has fine (small gauge) wiring looped around the speaker basket several times. This is basically the low pass crossover (i.e. inductor). Similarly, the stock tweeters have a small capacitor soldered inline in the speaker wire. This is the high pass crossover. Most high end speakers depend on a separate crossover system (a box that contains both the low pass and high pass components). The best place to mount the crossover boxes is right smack in the middle of the inside of the doors. They are far enough in that moisture won't get to them but in a relatively accessible location. PM me for details.

FYI this weekend I'll be test fitting some Audison 6 1/2" component speakers in a 360 to see if they will fit without any trimming of the door. If these drivers fit, I will be retooling my hyper directional tweeter pods to accommodate the Audison tweeters, then selling these items as a new plug and play kit. Will keep you guys posted.

I've sold 5 of these systems in the last 7 days with more on order. Evidently not requiring the removal of the door panel is the magic formula.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. With not even 14000 miles, all the stock speakers are toast. I'd like simple drop in replacements that dont require anybother work, as I am no audio engineer and do not wish to become one. So if you're selling replacement tweeters and door speakers that don't require removal of the door panels, I'm in. Please direct message me. Thank you.

For those who followed up, as I did, I ended up purchasing the 4-speaker kit with the custom tweeder pods. With the F430, it WILL require removal of the door panels, which is no more of a job than it is with any other car. Mike is writing up some F430-specific instructions for me that I'm sure he'd be willing to share with any other customer who's in the same boat.

New to the site, but if you're still on this thread, I have a 2004 360 that needs a new speaker in the passenger door. Not sure if I should just replace both or what is involved. Please send me info on what/ how to order if possible. Thanks.

Assume they are stock, or have many years on them, so replace both with quality speakers. It's not a big job, and contact Mike at ScuderiaAudio to make this even easier. You can read his posts above. Many of us have bought components and speakers from him that are already proven to be a good fit, and he has some little components that sometimes are needed to make things work well with no issues. I've bought from him myself and have a full replacement in my car from him including the custom sub, amps, and Focal speakers.

FYI, you can literally go to Walmart, Best Buy, etc and buy ANY 6.5” full range speaker pair. I have a set of kenwoods that I bought from Best Buy for under $100. They are a 2 way speaker, so they have their own tweeters. I am also using the factory tweeters. Anything is a serious upgrade to the factory mid bass speakers in the doors. Mine car does not have the Premium stereo, but a cheap class D amp is small enough to fit under the dash to give you some extra power for a fraction of the price of some other Ferrari specific providers.

Did you have to cut up your wiring harness to add that stereo or was it a plug and ply?

Scuderia Audio has wiring harnesses that will allow you to upgrade your radio to any aftermarket head unit without cutting a single wire.
Additionally, Scuderia Audio has the only OEM style Ferrari 360/430 compatible speaker connectors on the planet (we make them): https://scuderiaaudio.com/product/360-430-oem-plugs/
    Here is a quick demonstration:
