    Texas!
Yippie! I have a new toy. Last night, I picked up a burgundy/cream 2004 Maserati Spyder with F1. I gotta tell ya sports fans, this car is NOT a GT. It is a sports car. It has close to 400 horses, and it ain't shy in letting you know it. Being a front-engine car, you can swing the rear end around whenever you feel like it.

The F1 is not as slick as the Stradale, but then again very few things are. I haven't driven it much, but my first impression is that the harder you drive it in the sport mode, the better the F1 works. At least, that what it seems like.

Great sound. I'm sure the Tubis would be the cat's meow!

But wait a minute! Isn't Maserati going to go out of bidness? You can guess what my answer is to this question. After all, I'm still buying the car.

I'd post some pics, but my wife is out in the car. She just called and said that she and a girl friend are headed to New Orleans. She said that everything is fine with the car and for me not to wait up.

Dr "Damn, I just lost another car" Maser

where did you get the car from? Congratulations. I am a huge fan of the Maserati Spyder. Great color combination. I know Ron Tonkin had a car similar to yours for sale. Did you get the Grigio Mercurio wheel option?

    Texas!
I brought the car locally from the original owner, but it looks exactly like Ron Tonkin car. What is the Mercurio option? The guy I brought the car from has w-a-y-y too many cars and couldn't remember all the details on this car.

    But I love it!

There is a video floating around out there with the Maser/Tubi combo and it sounds fantastic.

Grigio Mercurio wheel option is when the wheels are finished in a gray(darker finish). If your car looks exactly like the Ron Tonkin car then it most likely has the chrome wheels. Those look pretty well too. No matter what wheels you got it looks great. I just prefer ther grigio mercurio.

Scott63 was selling an 03 Spyder without his tubi exhaust. Maybe he still has the Tubi exhaust and would sell it to you, Dr Who.

Congratulations and welcome to the club, glad to see the news stuff did not keep you from pulling the trigger. Get the Tubi as it really finishes off a near perfect car. Now we need to find a Fiat board that might except us.

A Ferrari F1 gearbox (which is what's in your Maserati) will shift fastest in sport mode, with the accelerator completely depressed... Such is the case with all Ferraris (and Maseratis) equipped with an F1 gearbox... After all, they are made to drive...

I don't need to prove nuthin to youse guys. Nuthin, I tell ya.

Oh, and another thing. I'm the one that brought the P4 the IRS was selling.

    Nuthin! :)

It is a cool car. Even in the auto mode, it shifts like Steve McQueen in Bullit. Except mine only has 6 speeds, unlike Stevie's car which had at least 9 speeds.
