    Well, I had about a 35 mile run up the freeway this morning and thought, what the hell, I may as well draft off an SUV or two and see how it affects things mileage wise. After cruising along from car to car at about 85, I realized I had been pushing a Prius....... and the guy was PISSED to the point I could see him flailing his arms inside the car! I can only imagine what the tool was saying to the pale skinned, leather faced, Birkenstocker next to him. OHHH THE IRONY!! There I was, this non-green guy in a gas guzzler, exploiting a PRIUS to improve the mpg in his black Benz?!? :D:D:D:D Soon, he started changing lanes so I did as well! Eventually, he hit his brakes so I went around him and snuggled up behind an X5. The truly disgusted look I got from them as I went by absolutely priceless! :D:D

    It was becoming rather hysterical to the point that I called ryalex LMAO'ing! :D:D:D I promised him the thread so here it is! :)

    You are not alone, Darth!! My buddy and fellow F-Chatter, Franky P, used to get the bird flipped to him all the time when he was driving his black Testarossa. He'd just smile and wave back politely :D !! That usually pissed off the jealous eco-nuts even more!!

    Anyone who can barely afford gas and do a wee bit of math will buy a Yaris and be way ahead of the game.

    I remember back a few years I was being tailgated by a couple in a convertible while driving I-44, I slowed and nothing, I tapped the brakes and nothing they just kept tailgating me. They ended up with my 7-11 big gulp in their lap, lucky shot considering I threw it out my sunroof. But it was pretty full so in the end I was happy.

    I have yet to see anyone driving a Prius who is struggling to afford gas. That's absolutley ridiculous, anyone that has any lick of sense in them, if they are struggling for gas, would buy a Yaris if they had to have a new car. An even better bet would be a Jetta TDI or an older civic. No one who is trying to afford gas is going to buy a fairly pricey car, especially considering its competition, which you can buy used for 10K. OK, Prius rant over.

    Some Prius driver was on 60 Minutes about 4 or 5 months ago and he was saying that Prius drivers will frequently tailgate other larger vehicles for the benefits of drafting on fuel economy, and that was one of the many fuel conserving techniques they discuss on PriusChat.com along with increasing the tire pressure a few pounds so they have less tire contact patch and rolling resistance, blah blah blah. Just what you want, some idiot tailgating you in a car that has even less chance of stopping in time should you have to emergency brake.
