    Reasonably attractive, too :)

Remember that electric motors produce maximum torque at zero rpm, unlike internal combustion motors. So the power figure is, indeed, impressive ... but the torque can't be directly compared to gas engines.

I saw an electric Corvette today that was pretty cool. It's supposed to make a ton of power. I believe cost is in the 700k range.

    Road registered drako?

And you’ve made them and delivered them already?
    In customer’s possession?

Image Unavailable, Please Login The car you see in the pictures is road legal in the USA, has a California registration, and has completed road and track testing at Thunderhill and Laguna Seca. I personally drove it from Burbank to Dawson on Highway 2 ACH a few days ago, where it was seen by many observers and a couple of them even posted on our Instagram feed. We are building the first customer units for 2020 delivery.

Man, this is great! I find the progression of the electric car and how fast its happening amazing.

The independent wheel contol is mind blowing. How long did it take you guys to figure that one out?

About 7 years of R&D, and road and track testing. A different company tried to rush into this tech and the results were predictable. It was very fortunate that a certain somebody was not killed.

Just watch our Nürburgring video to see the wheel control in the center graphic. We were thermally limited in that prototype car - my feeling is that she could have run a 7.29, so that's a good target for GTE.

Small correction...7 years of R&D and 3 years of road and track testing. A lot of it on very slippery Finnish tracks.

1.) That vid is 4 years old! You must have filmed Laguna Seca, right? Will 'Automobile Magazine' include a road/track test video? Why not any of the 'major' mags like Car and Driver, etc.?

2.) Is it $1.1 million better than a $150,000 Porsche Taycan? Timing is everything. I think you're a year late to the party to try and get $1.25 mil.
. . . SCG (low volume mfg) is building/selling a street-legal race car for $2.5 mil, sooo.... who knows. https://glickenhausracing.com/scg-003

3.) So, you sell 25 of these after 10? years development, then what? Sell tech/patents to VW?

I do look forward to seeing tests on this beast. Good luck.

We did two days of testing at LS and it was raining (March 19 and 20). We focussed on suspension setup given that it's a high compression track so that when we return later in the year we will be ready to set some fast times for your viewing pleasure.

The Taycan doesn't have four motors and still drives like a conventional vehicle with a differential.

They (the mighty Porsche) just ran a 7.42 at the Ring which is only 7 seconds faster than our very early first prototype from five years ago. Plus it seems to have a very limited top speed compared to GTE and in my highly biased opinion doesn't look anywhere near as good !

We will return to the Ring in early 2020 and we will target 7.29 as I said earlier.

We just analyzed the Taycan lap, it was not a full lap so we created a side by side video for comparison. You will see that Taycan is actually only 2 seconds faster than our time from 4 years ago

what is independent wheel control? does each of the 4 motors control its own wheel? isn't that available now in electric cars? sounds very interesting. good luck with a very cool concept

The only demonstrated four motor is the AMG SLS Electric Drive (end of production, not available for purchase ) and Rimac Concept One (end of production, had some problems on Top Gear).

Lotus Evija (concept), Rimac C2 (not shipping), Pininfarina Batista (not shipping) are the others.

    Drako GTE in production now.

I think the car is beautiful but here is my question -

Is it easier to find 25 clients at $1.25m vs 500 at $150k?
Are people really interested in Nring laptime when buying an Electric car?
