Firstly no i dont have the answers but thought we might all try and get them. That is because other threads seem to confuse the issue. I also now have an E8 on the heater control.
So, simple question, does anyone actually know what E8 indicates or is it a generic "There is a problem with the heating system". If anyone thinks it is not the heating system please let us know.
Secondly there are suggestions reated to damp, fuses, heater pump, heater pump voltage, anti-freeze top ups, air blocks in the system etc.
So I thought it would be good to hear from anyone who has had an E8 and has successfully resolved it - Only if they know what resolved it of course!
We can then build a definative list that hopefully will help all.

    Good luck!

E1 - Passenger compartment temperature sensor - My E1 problem was solved when I worked Stabalant into the ground connections on the left front bulkhead behind the a/c outlet on the dash. *thanks, Markie1949
    E2 - Outside temperature sensor
    E3 - Cooled-heated air temperature sensor
    E4 - Evaporator temperature sensor
E5 - Motor for heater valve control*
E6 - Motor for air distribution control**
E7 - is the code for the fan speed control unit (i.e. the power supply for the fan blower) - unless there is a poor connection to the unit it will have to be replaced. The part number is 63307200 and costs £166.00 @Ferrari, £110 at Eurospares , $260 at Ricambiamerica. *thanks, Ferrari_Tech
    E8 - Electric water pump for heating = Bosch #0 392 020 007 or Bosch #0 392 020 002, Ferrari #61787900 (new=#70000900)

Thats a great list of error codes.
Anyone experienced an E8 and resolved it by anything other than topping up antifreeze. I will top mine up and see what happens! Presumably could be a problem with he water pump.

My E8 turned out to be a wire broken off the pin on the connector... just like the AMP connector wires in the door jambs do.
I soldered the wire back onto the pin, turned off the battery switch to reset the ECU... the system has worked perfectly ever since.
