Fuzzy Dice in window, Go Pro inside, chase plane, ground cam. A reporter said the landing was spectacular, skidding down runway and flipping over.

Will they ever release the whole video? Even a photo? 212 million in tax dollars and all we get is a teaser.

    Ooops

I think the shuttle had free fall landing gear, and if it didn't "free fall" in a very short period of time, it was blown down. Can't go-around in a glider.

oops, this was only 45 yrs ago. The sad state of affairs when we are spending hundreds of millions to (attempt to) duplicate what has already been accomplished and documented.

Similar to what was mentioned in the Saturn V thread, wherein we've got new engineers using calipers to measure 50yo F-1 engines and trying to figure out how they worked.

Yikes, among some good landings a pretty nasty crash there. Thankfully the pilot was ok except for a lost eye. Good thing the Dream Chaser was pilotless.

We did the same thing with X-40A in August 1998 at Holloman AFB. Difference was, landing gear all extended. X-37A did the same thing several times and X-37B has been to orbit for over a year and made a successful autonomous landing.
