It's tough to choose only one from Ferrari and Porsche 1. 1985 Ferrari 308 gtsi QV 2. 1993 porsche 911 turbo 3. 1969 mercedes 280sl 4. 1971 e-type coupe 5. 1985 mustang gt
Might change tomorrow or the next day, but here goes: ‘67 275 GTB/4 ‘69 Alfa 33 Stradale Ford GT40 Mk I BMW e9 3.0 CSL Maserati Tipo 60/61 “Birdcage”
Porsche 911 GT1 Pagani Huayra roadster Ferrari F40 1962-64 Ferrari 250 GTO McLaren F1 Honorable mentions: Porsche 918 Lamborghini Miura Ford GT, 2016 - onwards Mercedes-300 SL Roadster
For me, the absolute dream (but even Bill Gates can't buy all of them); the vitrine garage : 1. Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé 2. Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic 3. Alfa Roméo 8C 2900B 4. Ferrari 250 GTO (Who am I to not put the 250 GTO #1 in a Ferrari chat ;-) ) 5. McLaren F1 (Road Version) A little more realistic list (the whole price of this list is cheaper than the cheapest of the previous list but I still need to win at the lotery) 'A supercar every 20 years' : 1. Rüf CTR Yellowbird (for the fascination of the Nürburgring...) 2. Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing 3. Lambo Miura S (IMHO more beautiful than the SV) 4. Ferrari F50 5. Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix And an almost reachable dream (Maybe I could have them all in 2 decades) : 1. Ferrari Testarossa (I Own it !!!) (to travel accross Europe in one day) And I would like to complete my garage with : 2. Porsche 964 Carrera 2 (should be my daily car if alone) (in competition with a Ferrari Mondial, but the Steering wheel and the size are in favour of the 964) 3. BMW M5 e28 (should be my daily car with the whole family (3kids)) (or the Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 (the mother of every sleeper)) 4. Alfa Roméo Giula GTV 2000 (Coupé Bertone) (for historical Rally) 5. Lotus Elise SC (just to practice sometimes on track) But for a dream, only 5 cars is far too much restrictive... In my dream I'd like to have 100 cars.... You need to have some exeptionnal car (history, production, value, etc...), but you also need some "inexpensive (ie. or not too expensive to run or afraid to drive everywhere) to be capable to use it almost everyday. The first and true pleasure of a car is to drive them... One of the most beautiful car for me is the 250 GT Lusso, but I did not manage to put in this list.. The numbre 6 (so out of topic) of the first list should be the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. to complete the second list whith a 6th car...,the Mercedes Project One (second car for Mercedes...) Hard to be so restrictive...
Hmmmm.... 1. 1966 Ford Shelby Cobra 427 2. 1986 Ferrari F40 3. 2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale 4. 2020 BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe 5. 2021 Koenigsegg Gemera This list is subject to change by the second....LOL! 5 cars is difficult to pick.... Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
My 5 cars: Ferrari 250GT California Spyder Porsche 550 Spyder Lamborghini Miura P400 SV Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
Cool collection: I consider the 993 as the best built Porsche ever (it’s so overengineered!). The 308 is one of the best Ferrari shapes ever! The Bugatti 35 is my all-time favourite prewar car: I hope the driving experience is close to the original ones... without the disadvantages of an almost 100 year old car?! How would you describe the experience, is it comparable with something else... like a raw brutal version of a Caterham with drum brakes? Is it around 1000kg? Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences (don’t know another person with this exotic machine)!
A great video is here: The driving experience of the Pur Sang replicas is bang on the same as the originals. It's a tad over 750kg, or less than 800kg, depending on how much of the 100 litre fuel tank is full. Very tiny cockpit with no dead pedal. You sit much, much, higher than in a Caterham, but can still touch the rear wheels. But there's a similar sense of vulnerability in modern traffic. Steering is very heavy indeed. The brakes are no problem: they are huge and integrated into the wheels, which are in turn finned and vented turbine-like by the wheel spokes. And they cross-correct for front/rear and left/right. The sound is glorious. The supercharger whine over the calico-ripping exhaust is sublime. Matt
