This thread has been around so long, if I replied initially, I probably would have changed my mind a few times by now! Doesn't make it any less fun to think about. 1. Lotus Elise USA model Sports Pack. I'm not sure if you can have more fun on the street with anything else! (And btw, I'm biased) 2. Porsche Carrera GT. This choice would be an Enzo if it came with a 6 speed! I still reserve the right to change my mind. 3. BMW M5 (the 8 cylinder, I don't like how the 10 looks, and it doesn't have a manual - although rumors say it just might... I'd go for the new M6 if that were so, but actually I feel compelled to have something 4 adults can fit in) 4. F430 6 Speed. Torn between a coupe or a convertible. If I could only have one car, this would probably be it. 5. Mercedes SL55. I don't know why I like this car so much, especially since it only comes with an automatic. Since this is all in my dreams, I am dreaming AMG put a 6 speed manual in it for me. 6. Porsche 911 GT3. This might negate what I said in #1. the 997 (from what I've seen/heard) looks pretty fantastic, but I love the 996 version of this car too, either will do. Now this garage (except for the CGT) isn't all that radical. Where's the McLaren, F50, Miura, Pagani, mcMerc SLR and SWB 250 California? That's my weekend 6 car dream garage. Apologies to the Gallardo (awesome car, but I prefer the 430, heck I prefer the 360, which doesn't make the Gallardo a bad car in my book, it still rocks. I wish it was 2 wheel drive with scissor doors though - I mean, come on it is a Lamborghini!) The Aston Martin AMV8 is looking to be a contender if this thread makes it to 2007. -- Gordie

Maybe I'm not that much of a dreamer, but here goes: 1) Ferrari 550, maybe trade up to a a 575 2) Porsche 930 Turbo (I saw one of the first 930's in the US when I was in high school and working for a gray market car importer....had to have my own, it just took 19 years to find the right car) There is something about 1966 that's important to my car brain: 3) 1966 Shelby GT350 (I've been close (twice) to buying one of the original 1966 Shelby Mustang Trans-Am race cars...maybe someday...they were coupes by the way) 4) 1966 Corvette (I'd pay double the market price to find my dad's car) 5) 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I (A quick flight and a money order made out to Classic Showcase could this....) 6) Ferrari F50 (This car will be out of reach for a while, so it's really a dream car) OK, so I can easily have 5 cars on dream list......got to make some calls...bye!
