    "250 GT Lusso

    Pinin Farina updated the 250 GT with the GT Lusso or GTL. Introduced at the 1962 Paris show, the car sported flowing lines and a fastback shape typical of the GT cars of the mid-1960s. Under the hood was the 250 GTO's Tipo 168 engine with 250 PS (184 kW; 247 hp) and three Weber 36DCS carburettors.

    Scaglietti handled construction of the Lusso which lasted through 1964 with few modifications.

    Rock star Eric Clapton owned one, and an example that had been owned by Steve McQueen was sold at auction for $2.3 million on 16 August 2007. [9]

    In 2004, Sports Car International placed the 250 GT Lusso tenth on a list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s. Steve Boone Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member with the Lovin' Spoonful owned one that was stolen from a repair shop in Queens NY and never found #4237!"

    It's interesting to see what I posted years back and compare my list today. First, I'm much less inclined to have 6 cars at a given time. High usability and functionality, I now realize, are key ownership factors for me. Second, I've become increasingly interested in mid-50s to mid-60s Alfas. Here's what I have:

    1. Historic Race Cars - Ferrari TR59 and Porsche 934/935 (Alfa Giulietta Monoposto/Barchetta or Porsche 550RS as runner ups for TR59)
    2. Daily Vehicle - Porsche 911 GT3
    3. Street Convertible - Ferrari F50 (Euro 308QV GTS or 550 Barchetta as runner ups)

    I think I did this several times already but the list keeps changing.. last time I did, there was no 458 ITALIA!

    McLaren F1 LM - Very unlikely to have but still the best of the best IMO.
    Enzo - A Must!
    Carrera GT - One of the most beautiful car out there, again IMO.
    Italia - The newcomer, extremely beautiful and sexy.
    16M - To enjoy the sun.
    612 - The daily driver, family car.
