This is something that has always baffled me and most likely may never be known for sometime. I'll startout with a dream I had lastnight. I met a lady through mutual friends who was engaged but there was an immediate and undeniable connection between us that transcended everything. I was once again at said friends house weeks later and she magically appeared to stay for the weekend, knowing I was there I think, and we meet up and are automatically inseperable. She mentioned that she would like to spend a few days with me in Houston, I then wokeup and could not resume where I left off. Could this stem from the loss of my fiance 4yrs ago who I had this connection with or is it just my subconcious playing games with me?
I think its you wanting to be in another relationship....You think about it a lot Im assuming through out the day and thus it ends up in your dreams....
I have no doubt you are right and I cherish those dreams and I hope they continue but I'm looking forward to the day they end, no more crazy dreams and waking up spooning my pillow.
Good question, Tex, but man, us car guys, I mean, kinda hard to get the right answer from well meaning car people. Maybe a psych here can advise. Any psychs here as fellow members?
Maybe, but most of us would be practicing without a license, not a good idea, and even those that have one,a license, may defer an opinion on the grounds of not enough info or contact. Hell, wiki Freud and knock yourself out...that's a figure of speech, btw. Or Jung,he's into that stuff,too...dreams,I mean. Hey,maybe even Madame-X? Cheers,I mean that... RE
You know I do know of one psychic who my buddy with the ranch and his dad used for like 20yrs and dearly departed Jim truelly believed in her, could be fun but it is like $100 per person.
Seeing a psych, with a license, will be a helluva lot more than 100$. But MadameX maybe more fun... More cheers, RE
I have very long, very strange, very detailed dreams, and I am of the opinion that they have no meaning whatsoever. Just random electrical sparks in the brain.
why is it so hard to get a psych here on our forum?? I mean, geez- we have lawers, chemists, electricians, dentists, etc etc etc, but sheesh, aSK FOR A PSYCH TO CHIME IN- MAN, they just wont offer free advice unlesss much $$$$$ is at stake. Tex need help, man!
Nah I'm good so far and I just thought it would be an interesting thing to do. This guy I worked with back in the '80s had a girlfriend who supposedly could read Tarot cards and she tried performing a reading on me one afternoon. Not two or three cards into it she freaked out and said she could not finish, at that moment I knew I was destined for great things !
One thing Mr.Painter did when he was still just a puppy and dreaming was running and barking in his sleep with all four kicking. I wonder if he ever caught that 'Wascally Wabbit'??
Dreams tell us our past and future lives as well as hints into our future current lives. We have part called the pineal gland aka "third eye" that works with this. Research the drug DTM. A mind journey unlike no other, that's why it's illegal. Also, when I say research I DO mean just research with no intentions of using this drug. I have not taken DTM or known anyone personally who has. I will not be held resposible for any mind-altering wrong doing.
Dreams are the exact opposite of conscious thought. When your awake and attempting to solve a puzzle, your brain uses logical pathways based on education and past experiences in order to arrive at a solution. Have you ever noticed that when you are doing this sometimes your thoughts will drift or you will daydream. This momentary lapse in awake consciousness is where your mind uses unlogical pathways to explore an alternate explanation to the current problem or allows your mind to attempt to solve another different problem that although may be finished, you as the individual sense that another true unknown answer still exists, so your are still attempting to solve it A sleeping dream is where your mind has the freedom of exploration to peruse different explanations to a past or present situation without being hampered by the awake conscious minds attempt to use logical as the controlling medium. This explains why when we are asleep we dream of fantasies that although they may of seemed real in the dream state, we tend to wake up when the mind has explored all of the hypothetical what ifs and the logic starts to take over. Think about the construction of your dream: a big monster was chasing me and he tried to eat me. 1. Where was the monster chasing you. 2. Did the monster have a name. 3. Describe what the monster looked like. 4. What were you wearing. 5. Have you had this dream before and was there anything different this time. Most people will say yes to the last question. As your mind runs through all of the hypothetical, it ends up at the logical and at this point your dream ends and you awake.
Nice post. Years ago I had heard/read the exact same thing that "Dreams are the exact opposite of conscious thought". So based upon this I may actually own a Ferrari someday since I never dream about them and that I might actually have a realworld chance at coitus this new year since I rarely get past 2nd base in my dreams !!!!!
Years ago I had a relationship end with a girl. I didn't heard from her in over a year, zero contact with her living over 1,200 miles away. Hadn't really been thinking about her when I had a dream about her, can't remember what the dream was about now but I do remember when I woke up I had a very strong feeling I was about to hear from her. She called that evening to see what was going on and how I was doing she said she had just been thinking about me and wanted to see how I was. Probably only talked to her 3 or 4 times after that (just chit chat) so it wasn't like either one of us was looking to rekindle anything that might have provoked this dream. Weird.
What Sparta is experiencing is a form of Aura, or the natural energy that every object in the universe contains. Natural energy is not just hyperbole but is actually based in scientific fact. Think of it this way, every object is a mixture of elements, minerals and electrons, all in varying degrees. The human body is essentially a mixture of different atoms arranged in a complex series that forms skin, hair, organs etc. These atoms by their nature are electrical, so we are essentially a walking, talking battery. From what I understand is that some people have a stronger aura than others, this may explain why a person can have a premonition or awareness of an event or a situation that has yet to unfold. Unexplained energy from a source envelopes their aura and they perceive a change or difference, this difference may trigger learned responses or experiences common between two or more individuals. This may help to explain how perceives another persons presence. As in: I was thinking about you and you were thinking about me, though others were not knowing that we were thinking about each other, your natural energy affects that other person, although no matter how much energy you displace only those share the same parameters will " receive" your aura. And only you will receive the " signal " energy from that object.
As for that Coitus stuff. 99% of us who have already been there, done that,,,, Sit down at the table and go straight to desert, skipping the appetizers and the main course. Not knowing your situation but based on your comments, I would say that a complete evaluation of your approach is in order. Gamblers use a system of " The Odds" , 5 to 1, 20 to 1, etc. A calculated guess. The calculated part is from multiple wins and losses. The guess is from the ratio of chances to maybe's.. A successful gambler already has multiple wins in their favor to lower the odds. An unsuccessful gambler does not and " relies" on the ratio of chance. In order to increase you chance of success, you need to first have a plan and an order of operations. For example: You want to go swimming in a pool but you can't see the bottom, don't know how deep the water is and you don't know the temp of the water. This is the application of the trained observer, he watches otheres jump in first and observers their reaction to the stimulus, then when he is satisfied, he makes the jump and enjoys the pool with everyone else.
I'm sorry but WTF is not the correct response. There are many books at the library that cover this subject.. Personally I try to avoid using acronyms. So could you actually spell out the definition for WTF. So I and others could understand what you are saying. Then we could go from there. Thank you.
Makes sense I just chalked it up to reincarnation and that we were sent back here to keep repeating our life until we got it right. I have also had many instances of de ja vu. The strongest being the first tiem I visited the Chateau at Chenanceau. My aunt used to take me to Europe for vacation every year when I was growing up. In I guess 92 or 93 we were walking up to the Chateau and I told he I have been here before. She replied that this was her first visit and therefore my first vist as I hadn't been to Europe without her at that time. I insisted that I had been there before. When we entered the Chateau I had a feeling like I knew what was through every doorway and around every corner. It just felt "right" and "comfortable" almost like I was at home.
Does this mean that if you never had a Ferrari in the past life. You'll never get one in this life too ? I remember my wife telling me about that stuff, I think it might be related to Buddhist dogma. Because of her early " grooming" , my wife understands people far better than I do.
