    Hey everyone,

I’m putting back together my 1978 Ferrari 308 and have a question about the drive shafts since I wasn't the one to dissasamble it in the first place.

Specifically, I'm trying to confirm if they have a specific position or orientation. Is there a designated left or right side shaft, and do they need to be installed facing a certain direction — i.e., should one specifc end face the engine or the wheel hub?

I’d appreciate any insights or tips from anyone who has experience with this particular model. Thanks in advance!

No. Some people reverse them intentionally.

The factory installed them "ribbed" side towards the transaxle.

The races only wear on the drive side so it makes them last longer.
