Drive with some Cali guys!!!

First let me say what a great day for a drive!!! I think we had 25+ cars..
Now has anyone here driven a 430? I have yet to drive one and now really want to. Here's what happend.

We were in the mountains I had a Lambo Muri in front of me.. about 1/4 the way up I had to slow down (slow cars) and couldn't pass at the time. Two 430's and a 360 were now behind me as I went to pass the (slow car) the 430 behind me move over at the same time. I down shifted into 3rd took it to the red line and shifted into 4th at about 7k. All this time I could tell I was slowing down the 430 as my 4th grear was almost to the red line and my foot was to the floor both 430's went by me like I was the slow car... My poor little 355 didn't have anymore power to catch them up the hill and they wern't even Scuds!! just normal 430's. We did have 3 Scuds up in front of us, now that car is just sick...

Today it was on the Ferrari club calander. They come in two times a year...

I use to drive 430 in the driving school, and the pleasure of driving my 355 is better!!! The sound of our cars are much better
Another issue is the 430 scud!!! I love the superfast gearbox, but it haven't got the 355 sound...

Alas, the rally was the morning after our night club event - or should I say morning club event? After the club and after the "after" parties it was surprising how many were even up for lunch. Steve, I am dragging you out for a beer next time we are in town whether you want to or not!

 

Looks like an awesome event, that blue 355 spider really looks fantastic!

I have been lucky enough to drive a 430, I hoped out of the 355 and into the 430 so the comparison was ideal. If the Ferrari was my daily the 430 would be ideal, but it is not my daily and the 355 is more raw, more nimble and more fun. Sure the 430 is quicker but part of what I enjoy about the 355 is I can get on it and push hard, it's limits are so predictable I never feel like its going to swallow my head, I like to be able to throw a car around, and I feel the 430 is too big, too controlled to be thrown around, that is if you want to keep breathing....

 

Next October buddy...
