The Northwoods Gran Prix at Autobahn Counrty Club event is designed to be a great time for novice and experienced drivers alike. This event is not a race, it is not an autocross nor is it a competition. It is a touring opportunity to drive your car at speed on a real road race course, testing both your skills and the capabilities of your car.

There are basic rules enforced to permit drivers quality track time at their own speed and experience level. Participation is limited so that drivers and passengers maximize their day at the Autobahn. Registration will be closed once the event is full.

    sounds like fun -

Am I reading the site correctly that the cost will be $175 if registered by 4/1/09?

Any reviews/feedback on which track is more interesting (or if on is better suited to big motor and brakes, or more sweeping turns?)

Assuming my new-to-me 398 checks out fine next week I'd really like to do this!

The "no passing in turns" is a bummer but understandable over here I guess. Getting flashbacks to more than a few annoying laps of the Nurburgring spent following superbikes or big horsepower autos in my small displacement car, getting held up in turns only to have them floor it on the exit and then holding me up yet again at the next turn, and on and on.... I hope at least they'll have a decent number of marshalls with blue flags spread around

    cheers
    Kurt

I just returned from Autobahn C.C. this past weekend where the One Lap of America stopped and let me tell you that place is still amazing! I was only there one other time in 2007 and that track is well maintained! If any of you are going to this event, please take pics! thanks, D
